PROJECTS
Machine-Learning Wine Rating Predictor – https://github.com/Dan-Bruen/Wine-Predictions
• Collaborated in a team to create a machine learning model from a Dataset using a count vectorizer in python that could predict the rating of a wine based on a few features such as description, country, variety, and price. • Then deployed this into a html web app that users could enter information into to get a predicted rating.
NYPD Crime Dashboard –https://github.com/edjoseph360/nypdcrimedata
• A team project with the purpose to uncover patterns and metrics in criminal activity around New York City. Examined relationships between types of crime and location; crime rates and gender; trends in crime rates over age group; and related questions. • Created visualizations of our findings using Plotly and Leaflet in JavaScript and deployed them into a html webpage.
Discord-bot – https://github.com/edjoseph360/discord-bot
• Created a bot for my personal discord server to help me moderate it. Used the Discord.py library to build it in python. Integrated a Reddit API into it with their Praw library to be able to have the bot send reddit posts. • The bot can clear messages, kick/ban people, play simple games such as rock paper scissors and 8 ball, as well as many other things!
